From the Lab: James Green Kicks the Tires on PernixData FVP
As a firm believer in going out to the community to see our peers testing technology, it was encouraging to see a recent blog series by James Green which detailed the installation and use of PernixData FVP.
There are a few steps needed to prepare for installation. These are clearly identified in the review article (Part 1 – Installation) and you will find that the overall process seems to be quick and relatively low effort to get done.
With the product installed, you can now view the configuration process (Part 2 – Configuration) which also reminds us that the vSphere Web Client is the place we need to be working in more.
The most important part of the process really. A seamless installation is only good if the product performs as expected. Luckily this was the case as described by James in Part 3 of his series here. With the numbers clearly illustrating the advantage of having PernixData FVP in the environment, it certainly tells us to keep looking into this.
Thanks to James for providing this great end-to-end review.
